This page says what information this website collects, why, where it goes, and what you can ask of us. Where the law of your country gives you more rights than this page describes, those rights apply.
Who is responsible
Plasis operates this website and is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at info@hermetecha.com.
What we collect, and why
When you visit: our hosting provider records the technical details of each request in its logs, including your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type, to deliver the pages and to protect the site from abuse. We use no advertising tools.
If you accept analytics: Google Analytics records which pages you open, how long you spend on each, the site that sent you, your device, browser and screen size, and your approximate location (country and city). We use these figures, counted across all visitors, to see which pages are read and to improve the site. Nothing is recorded if you decline or make no choice, and Google Analytics does not store your IP address.
When you send a message through the contact form: your name, your organization if you give it, your email address and your message. We use them to reply to you and for nothing else.
The spam check: the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. It examines your browser's behavior during the check and does not track you across websites. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that check.
Where your information goes
Messages from the contact form pass through Cloudflare, which runs the form service, and Resend, which delivers the email, on their way to our inbox. Neither keeps your message beyond the short delivery logs their services maintain. Our inbox is where your message is kept.
If you accept analytics, the measurements go to Google, which provides Google Analytics to us. This site tells Google Analytics not to use them for advertising.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for as long as the conversation with you is active and for 24 months afterwards, then deleted. Hosting logs are kept by the provider for a short period and are not kept by us. Analytics measurements are kept by Google Analytics for no more than 14 months, then deleted.
Cookies
This site sets no cookie that is not strictly necessary unless you accept it. The spam check may set a cookie that is strictly necessary for it to work.
When you first open the site, a bar at the bottom of the page asks whether you accept analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and one whose name begins with _ga_, which tell one visit from another and last up to two years. If you decline, none is set. Your choice is kept in your browser, so the question is not asked on every page. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; declining after accepting removes the two cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent where our use rests on it. Write to info@hermetecha.com. We answer within the time your law sets, and in any case within 30 days.
If you are in Canada: the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and, where it applies, provincial law give you these rights, and the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If you are in Quebec: the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector gives you these rights, and the right to complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. The person responsible for the protection of personal information at Plasis can be reached at info@hermetecha.com.
Transfers between countries
This website is served from a global network, our mail provider may process messages outside your country, and Google processes analytics measurements, if you accept them, in the United States and elsewhere. Where the law requires a basis for such a transfer, we rely on the protections our providers commit to in their terms and on the consent you give when you send the form or accept analytics.
Children
This website is addressed to organizations and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
When this page changes, its version number and date change with it. A change that affects your rights or how your information is handled is made clear on this page, and where consent is needed, asked for again.
